Turkish Ravioli

Dough:

3-3 1/2 cups flour

1 egg

2/3 cup lukewarm water

1 tsp salt to taste

Filling: 

1/2 lb ground bief

1 onion, finely chopped/shredded

1/2 tsp salt to taste

1/2 tsp black pepper

3/4 bunch chopped parsley

For cooking:

8 cups water

1 tsp salt

Sauce:

2 cups Natürlich Original Better Milk Yogurt

3-4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 tsp salt to taste

3-4 tbsp butter or oil

1 tbsp tomato paste or 2/3 tsp paprika

2-3 tbsp water

Dried mint

Sumac

Preparation

First, beat egg whites and sugar in the bowl, then add all the ingredients. Whisk batter until thick and smooth.

Grease a baking tin (3-qt) and pour in the batter, spreading it out evenly.

Bake in pre-heated oven at 360ºF until the top turns golden brown.

(Optional: Instead of greasing the pan, line the sides of the pan with an orange/lemon zest for an extra kick!)

For syrup:

Add 2 cups of sugar and 3 cups of water in a sauce pan. Boil for 10 minutes.

Remove the yogurt pudding from oven, and let it cool for 20 minutes, before pouring the hot syrup on top.

When ready to serve, cut in slices and garnish with shredded coconut or ice cream.
